Lloyd Loom furniture was created in 1917 by American craftsman Marshall Burns Lloyd and brought to Britain by William Lusty. Handmade and built to be virtually indestructible: the clean lines and intricate designs of Lloyd Loom furniture made it an instant classic. "a special brand of timeless elegance . . ."
Tiger Loom for today. In a process unique to Loom furniture a core of steel wire is covered in spun fibre, woven on the loom and shaped by hand onto a cane frame. Each piece is then sized with glue and given two coats of lacquer; this gives Tiger Loom furniture its distinctive smooth look, making it immune to splitting, cracking or creaking and superior to wicker or rattan copies.
